How to make Garlic chutney

Garlic chutney is eaten with many types of snacks. It is very easy to make. It is a popular chutney of Indian cuisine. It is very easy to make. Let's see how it is made:



Ingredients:

  • 10-12 garlic cloves (peeled)

  • 4-5 dried red chilies (adjust according to your spice preference)

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (or tamarind paste for a tangy flavor)

  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

  • 2-3 tablespoons water (adjust for desired consistency)

  • 1 teaspoon oil (for roasting)


How to make Garlic chutney

Method of making Garlic chutney:

  • First soak the dried red chilies in warm water for 10-15 minutes to soften them. This will make them easier to grind.

  • If you want, you can also lightly roast the garlic cloves and soft red chillies in a tablespoon of oil on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. This gives a slight roasted flavor to the chutney.

  • Now in a blender, add roasted or raw garlic cloves, soaked red chillies, cumin seeds, salt, lemon juice (or tamarind paste) and some water and make a paste.

  • You can make it thick or thin according to your preference by adding water to it.

  • After grinding it well, you can adjust its spiciness and sourness according to your taste.

  • You can eat this chutney immediately with your favorite snacks or food.

  • This garlic chutney can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
